Job Description:
The Legal Studies Program at the University of California, Santa
Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for the position of Visiting
Assistant Professor in Legal Studies.Under the direction of the
Legal Studies Program Director, the Visiting Assistant Professor
will teach four undergraduate courses across three quarters, mentor
students, and contribute to research and service in the Program.
The UC Santa Cruz Legal Studies Program offers an interdisciplinary
undergraduate major, administered by the Politics Department, which
seeks to integrate the study of law and legal issues through the
contributions and insights of many diverse fields of study in the
social sciences and humanities.While the specialization is open, we
welcome candidates whose education, professional activities, and
teaching combine law and policy from a comparative or international
perspective, or with a focus on the United States. We welcome
candidates who will contribute to the inclusive excellence of the
academic community through their teaching and other duties.The
hiring unit will not sponsor employment-eligible immigration
