About the Position: As the Director of Business Operations, you'll oversee all operational aspects, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and profitability. Leading 8 direct reports across 6 departments, you'll manage strategic planning, resource allocation, personnel, and financial oversight. You'll uphold high standards of customer service and nurture a positive work culture in our dynamic, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Operations:

  • Manage 8 direct reports across 6 departments (HR, Accounting, Warehouse, Field, Production, Sales) within a workforce of 100.
  • Foster interdepartmental collaboration for enhanced efficiency and adherence to policies.
  • Develop and implement streamlined policies and procedures to improve effectiveness and ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with all departments to improve operations, efficiency, and automation. Finance:
    • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial objectives to ensure profitability.
    • Lead month-end close process and analyze financial data for informed decision-making.
    • Monitor and adjust operational budgets to promote sustainable growth.
    • Conduct monthly meetings with the Sales Management Team to monitor sales projections and strategize growth.
    • Review and approve Purchase Orders and Invoices.
    • Collaborate with HR and Department Heads on employee compensation protocols. Team Development:
      • Lead weekly department head meetings to provide updates and address challenges.
      • Mentor management team to promote professional growth.
      • Develop job descriptions and training programs in collaboration with HR.
      • Manage recruitment, training, and performance evaluation processes. Owner Support:
        • Conduct monthly strategy meetings with owners for future growth and financial planning.
        • Generate weekly reports to keep owners informed of business performance and key metrics.
        • Coordinate annual company-wide presentations to align the team with company goals. Technical Skills:
          • Data Analysis and Reporting: Ability to interpret and analyze data to make informed decisions, identify trends, and optimize operations.
          • Project Management: Expertise in planning, executing, and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
          • Financial Management: Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to maintain fiscal responsibility and profitability.
          • Process Improvement: Skill in evaluating and enhancing operational processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
          • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in all aspects of the job. Requirements:
            • 3+ years of experience in Special Events, Hospitality, or related industries.
            • 3+ years of experience in finance, budgeting, forecasting, and accounting.
            • 3+ years of experience in General Management and People Management.
            • Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
            • Proficient in MS Suite, Google Suite, QuickBooks Online, and Filemaker Pro within a mixed Apple & PC environment.
            • Strong interpersonal skills with a positive attitude, high energy level, intuition, and a genuine commitment to investing in Got Light, its culture, and its people.
            • Familiarity with the San Francisco Bay Area market, venues, and stakeholders preferred.
            • Valid driver's license required. Schedule:
              • Day shift
              • Evening shift
              • Monday to Friday
              • Weekends as needed What We Offer:
                • This is a Full-time Exempt position.
                • Salary is $140000 - $160,000 based on experience
                • Got Light offers 15 days PTO per year plus paid holidays.
